This morning between 11:42 and 11:45 we experienced a short - partial - traffic loss on our BGP network. After our investigation and contacting our transport supplier, it was confirmed by them that it was caused by a link flapping in their carrier network. It was only a short link flap, but this caused some of our primary BGP peers to go down. Due to the recalculation of the BGP tables, this has caused packet loss for traffic flowing over these peers. The stable peers haven’t been affected by packet loss.
As the cause of the issue is known, no further action is taken.
